Second straight for Djurgården: “Closer to us”

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

The victory against Mora, after penalties, was followed by a full score: 4–3 at home against Södertälje.

Two straight victories for Djurgården.

Results that pleased coach Johan Garpenlöv.

He was most happy about how the match looked.

— We have had difficulty putting together 60 minutes, now we almost did it. It wasn’t complete, but we are getting closer, he says at the press conference.

— That’s what it’s all about; you have to have a way of playing, like you do all the time, in every change and not have the deep valleys that we have had too much of.

After 2–2 in the first period, where Garpenlöv considered that Södertälje’s goals were unlucky, the home team decided the match in the Hockey Allsvenskan during the middle act.

Olle Liss made it 3-2 already after 2.19 and at the end Daniel Brodin increased it to 4-2 in the power play.

Djurgården is sixth in the table on 70 points and has 15 down on chasing Almtuna. Modo tops out at 87.
