Economy Minister Sergio Massa faces ultra-liberal Javier Milei in a second round of Argentina’s presidential election on November 19.

With 86 percent of the vote counted after Sunday’s election, Massa had 36.2 percent of the vote and Milei 30.3. To be appointed president in the first round, 45 percent of the vote is required, or 40 percent and a ten percent advantage.

Milei, who calls himself an “anarcho-capitalist”, appeared to be leading in opinion polls before the election.
