Sebastian Samuelsson’s perfect fit for the Norwegian superstar – the boot before the World Cup: “A huge fiasco…”

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

He is coming off a weak season.
Before the World Cup, Sebastian Samuelsson now takes the opportunity to send a sharp pass to the Norwegian star Johannes Thingnes Bö.
– That would be a huge fiasco…, says Sebbe.

Throughout his career, Sebastian Samuelsson has made himself known as a real championship skier. It often doesn’t really matter how it went before an Olympics or WC, because when it matters most, Samuelsson is usually at his very best. And we hope that will be the case this time as well, when the WC starts tomorrow, Wednesday.

The fit for the Norwegian

Samuelsson comes from a season that was a real disappointment. He had high hopes and expectations for himself, but he has often been far behind in ride time, and the shooting has been more uneven than in a long time. And at the same time, Johannes Thingnes Bö, Samuelsson’s Norwegian rival, has been completely superb.

The Norwegian has won pretty much every single competition, and before the WC there is talk that he can do the impossible – namely to win gold in every distance. And before the World Cup, Samuelsson puts the pressure on his Norwegian rival, with a great psych.

– I don’t think he will win four WC golds, it very rarely happens and there I have a pass for Johannes, if he doesn’t win four WC golds, it’s a huge fiasco, he says according to SVT.

Have high hopes

Sebastian Samulesson himself has worked hard on his shooting before the championship, and he says that he received a lot of help from shooting coach Johan Hagström.

– Hagge has visited my home and shot laser shooting with me in the evenings and we really put in a lot of work to find a good feeling again and I think I have that now, says Sebastian Samuelsson.

And despite the season not being what he, and everyone else, had hoped for – he has high expectations that he will be able to challenge at the top.

– If I have the maximum payout, I will take seven medals, so I am very determined and believe that I can fight for it, says Sebastian Samuelsson.

The Biathlon World Cup begins with the mixed relay on Wednesday.
