Sebastian Samuelsson won the last competition of the season and celebrated by hush against the Norwegian audience.
He explains his behavior afterwards.
– It’s a dream I have had to run with the audience in Holmenkollen, he tells SVT Sport.
The World Cup in Swiss Lenzerheide became a failure for Sweden’s largest medal jump on the men’s side: Sebastian Samuelsson27. He was in the end never particularly close to taking any medal.
– I’m here to fight for medals. I have 13 championship medals so if I do not fight for the medals then it is too bad. Sure I am disappointed not to be closer than I am, he told Sportbladet when the championship was over.
Samuelsson won in Bös last competition
In the World Cup things have been a bit better for Samuelsson, but the biggest successes have come in relays and in mixed reaches. Ahead of the final competition weekend in Holmenkollen, he had only one individual victory this year. Suddenly he switched up properly in Sunday’s mass start and won convincingly.

He won what was the brothers Tarjei Bö36, and Johannes Thingnes Bös31, last competition ever. “Sebbe” celebrated by putting his finger against the lip and hush the audience in place.
– I will always remember that I won Johannes and Tarjei’s last competition, I will take that with me. It is a dream I have had to run with the audience in Holmenkollen, I did it with love, he tells SVT Sport.
Tells Farewell by the Bö Brothers
It was the seventh time Samuelsson won an individual competition in the World Cup.
– There was a mental struggle out there and I love those situations. I am very proud of my efforts today. It’s a great setting, he says.

How did the brothers Bö then in their last race ever? Little brother Johannes came in goal 41 seconds after Samuelsson and finished seventh. During his career he won five Olympic golds, 23 World Cup golds and five total victories in the World Cup. Big brother Tarjei came the 23rd mass start. He has three Olympic golds and eleven World Cup golds.
Haha, it’s so typically Sebastian to do such a thing. He always wants to tease gall fever on the Norwegians and throw some gasoline on the fire that is the duel between Sweden and Norway – but always with the twinkle in his eye. Lovely “Sebbe” and congratulations to the victory!
