They found each other directly in the Master of Masters.
Now Sebastian Larsson and Joel Lundqvist reveal their relationship after the SVT program.
– It’s a fun and new friendship, says Joel to the local newspaper Ekuriren.
The sixteenth season of the acclaimed SVT program “Mästarnas mästare” is approaching its finale and this year’s edition has been praised by TV viewers. In addition to the fierce competition, this year’s snack ice has been the nice community between the participants who went straight through the TV screen.

Two of the sports veterans have really become close to each other and it has not escaped anyone’s notice Sebastian Larsson and Joel Lundqvist became very close friends. Already from the first day of filming, the duo found each other and they shared rooms throughout the program.

Both saw themselves in each other and won a community and mutual respect in the background as elite athletes, national team players and team captains.
– It was great fun getting to know Joel. It gives added value to be in the program, that you got to meet an extremely nice and good guy, Larsson tells Ekuriren.
The relationship today
Then they were separated in the worst possible way when Sebastian won the night duel and sent Joel out of the show.
– It was special. We clicked so well and we shared a room for the entire stay. It wasn’t the joy that was the first feeling after I won the duel, it was rather sad that it was Joel who left, Larsson admits to the local newspaper.
– It was more of a disappointment for me. I went for the win. It was not good. I have something wrong with my thumbs. It is proven. I couldn’t catch flags or poles. There’s something about the grip. I’ll have to check it out, says Joel with a joke.

Although the SVT program is still in full swing, six months have passed since Master of Masters was filmed in Catalonia and the friends now reveal what their relationship looks like today. After the TV cameras stopped filming.
– We ran into each other in Sälen during the sports holiday by pure chance, right timing. They got there and we left. Our relationship today is that we hear each other quite a bit. It’s a fun and new friendship, says Lundqvist in the interview, and they have tried to meet more often.
– Both yes and no. He hasn’t been here, but it was an event that unfortunately didn’t fit into his calendar. But it will be sometime in the future, I think so, says “Sebbe” about inviting Joel to the house in Eskilstuna.
