Season over for Congolese goalkeeper Lionel Mpasi

While suffering from tendinitis in one knee, Lionel Mpasi underwent a double examination, an MRI then a CT scan, which revealed a bone tear requiring surgery to treat the Rodez goalkeeper (Ligue 2) and of the DRC. Lionel Mpasi reached the semi-finals of the last CAN in Ivory Coast. He should be absent between five and six months according to the press release from his club which gave him its full support. Mpasi will therefore not be present for the next matches in March with the Leopards, as well as the third and fourth days of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers next June.
