What took almost a year for season 5 and over two months for season 6 has now been drastically shortened: The brand new 7th season of The Rookie is coming only two weeks after the US release it was already in the German dubbed version to us.

In the USA, the new season with Nathan Fillion as a not-so-new police officer starts on January 7th, 2025. Just three days later you can stream the episode on WOW in the original sound, and just two weeks later it will be released in the German version.

Once again, Sky and WOW are bringing The Rookie exclusively to Germany. Season 6 came to WOW the day after the original start, but only in the original sound. It Season 6 lasted over two monthsuntil the German version could be heard in this country.
As TV Wunschlist reports, American programming may have helped with the quick German broadcast. ABC has pushed back the date for season 7 to 2025 in order to then broadcast the series weekly without interruptions (e.g. winter break) until May. This could have been enough time to start the synchronization early.
