With Season 7 came new whisper zones in Diablo 4, where you can farm XP really well. The feature is so well received by players that many hope it will be permanently integrated into the game.

Season 7 started in Diablo 4 on January 21st and brought new content to the ARPG. There are cool witch powers that complement your builds, new “occult gems” and the zones with whispering tasks have also been expanded. These new “headhunting zones” are also called “witch floods” by many players because their monster density and design are reminiscent of the hell floods.

Similar to the Hell Flood, you can farm XP really well in the Witch Floods. Many players report that they no longer want to complete the whispering tasks any other way. For many, the floods of hell are pushed into the background.

“The best way to level solo to level 60”

How are the zones received by the players? A look at the Diablo 4 subreddit shows that the new zones are really well received by the players. Many hope that they will remain in their current form permanently. The delivery system for the gifts is particularly praised: a raven of the tree spawns in the areas from which you can easily pick up your boxes.

One user explains on Reddit that at first he thought it was just another flood of hell. “But the more I play, the more it feels like a better whisper zone – and it’s really fun. Blizzard, please make the normal whisper zones more like this,” he wrote.

In the same post, Risp_91 comments that the season zones are “fantastic.” “This has to be the best way to level up to level 60 solo. I haven’t even been in a hell flood, it’s that good lol,” he states.

Regarding the gifts, Winter_Ad_2618 writes that he loves the new ravens. He can no longer play the whisper zones in any other way. And tacoguyasaurus also thinks that the zones could remain permanent. He says: “I love her so far. There’s so much variety and the raven delivery system is great.”

What is special about the new zones? The new “headhunting zones” contain a number of whispering tasks where you can collect gifts for the Whispering Tree. Because there are always several turquoise headhunting zones active on the map, you can collect gifts and farm loot, XP and reputation almost all the time. There’s always a lot going on – even in the zones themselves:

  • In the zones you will find numerous whispering tasks that you complete to collect gifts for the Whispering Tree.
  • Once you have collected 10 gifts, you give them to the ravens in the tree – so you don’t have to leave the zone and travel to the tree like before.
  • “Exposed Roots” spawn in the areas, which either produce loot, monsters or the “Headless Husks” bosses.
  • By killing the Head Rots in the Head Hunting Zones, you collect Restless Rots. You can use this to buy and improve witch powers.
  • By completing the whispering tasks you gain reputation in the circle. The more reputation you collect, the more rewards you unlock.
    • There are always several headhunting zones active.
    You can give your gifts to the raven on the tree.
    MeinMMO author Nicole threw herself straight into the new whisper zones and was already at level 60 after around 9 hours. Her conclusion: The headhunting zones are perfect for leveling and farming. Basically, you only have to leave the areas to dismantle the loot you have collected or to exchange and upgrade your gear.

    The highlight for Nicole are the Whispering Tree ravens that spawn in the zones. Thanks to them, gifts can be delivered quickly and boxes can be farmed efficiently. Newly added are boxes that only contain mats or gold. In general, the chests from the Whispering Tree are one of the best sources for all kinds of items and mats, even in the endgame.
