Season 21 is coming much later than expected due to the big crisis

But what’s next for NCIS Season 21? Hollywood is currently in a crisis and this also has an impact on the hit series.

NCIS Season 21 is coming much later and that’s why

In season 19, Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) left the series. Since then, the investigative team has been led by Alden Parker (Gary Cole). Apparently successful, because the US broadcaster CBS has already ordered the 21st season of Navy CIS.

Season 21 was originally supposed to premiere in the US this fall, but it won’t happen.

Due to the ongoing double strike in Hollywood for fairer wages for low-income earners, filming cannot proceed as planned. The new episodes will therefore 2024 at the earliest in their home country aired, depending on when the strike parties agree. There are usually three to four months between the US premiere and the German broadcast, which you would have to add to that. Many months will pass between the end of the 20th season on Sat.1 and the start of the new episodes.

Season 20 on TV: When are the new episodes coming?

Sat.1 radiates the consequences of 20th Squadron of Navy CIS every Tuesday evening from 8:15 p.m. as a free TV premiere. Replays begin at 12:15 a.m. on Wednesday night. These are the upcoming broadcast dates:

Why the 10th episode of the season is skipped on Sat.1

As you can see, Sat.1 skips the 10th episode of the season. That’s for a reason. S20E10 initiates a crossover with Navy CIS: Hawaii and Navy CIS: LA and has this trio of episodes the broadcaster already broadcast in May as part of the free TV premiere of “Hawaii” season 2. So the episode was brought forward to allow the series to cross paths.

NCIS: LA Season 14 will air on these dates
