A search for a missing man is underway in the Grand River.
The 26-year-old man fell off a personal watercraft (Seadoo) into the river near Highway 54 and Onondaga Townline Road on Thursday night at 7:20 pm
In an update, police said the Seadoo has been located.
OPP Aviation Services, OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit are in the area. Ontario Provincial Police officers from Brant and Haldimand detachments as well as the Haldimand OPP Marine Unit and emergency response team are also taking part in the search. The OPP Provincial Liaison Team is also involved.
The man is described as tall with a thin build. He was wearing gray shorts and no shirt. He was not wearing a personal floating device, said police.
Police are asking anyone who locates the man to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
