One accused charged previously for assault, drug, weapons offenses
Brantford police are continuing to search for two people wanted in connection with the first-degree murder of a 68-year-old man at a Colborne Street home on July 22.
However, police are not releasing any further details about the murder. The name of the deceased has not been released by police nor has the cause of death.
Days after the discovery, police announced warrants had been issued for the arrest of Jessica Elizabeth Poreba, 41, and Rorey Grant Tyler Hill, 38.
Poreba is described as being Caucasian, five-foot-four, about 115 pounds, with blue eyes. She has black hair that is shaved on both sides but police say her hair color may be blonde. She has a flower tattoo on her upper right arm, a butterfly tattoo on her upper chest and a black cat tattoo on her right bicep.
Hill is an Indigenous man described as being five-foot-five, about 160 pounds, with a medium build, hazel eyes and brown hair or short shaved hair. He has a spider web tattoo on his right elbow, tattoos on his left forearm/upper arm and a scar on his upper lip.
The victim and the wanted man and woman knew each other, police said at the time.
Police have not released any other information since the initial press release.
However, court documents uncovered by Postmedia show that Hill faces a dozen previous charges that are still pending and last appeared in court on July 14.
Hill was charged with aggravated assault in December 2020 following an incident involving Poreba as the alleged victim.
Hill was arrested by Six Nations Police in September 2019 after allegedly driving 90 km/h in a 40 km/h zone. Police say he was a prohibited driver and was carrying a concealed collapsible baton while under orders not to have any prohibited weapon. He was charged with three weapons crimes and five driving offences.
Then, in December 2019, Hill was charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of selling and distribution.
