SdR, Romagnoli (Symphonia SGR): a moment of euphoria for us, we are very flexible

SdR Romagnoli Symphonia SGR a moment of euphoria for us

(Finance) – “For Symphonia SGR it is a moment of great euphoria and innovation, despite having its own very interesting track record. With OPERA’s new asset management, the idea is to build personalized but advanced management for our customers, with the brick formula that focuses on specific asset classes, with a wide spectrum of variability in such a way that both the banker and the customer are able to formulate together what the portfolio model in which to invest at that moment could be”. He told Finance Ilaria RomagnoliCEO of Symphonia SGR and Head of Asset Management of the Banca Investis group, on the occasion of the 14th edition of the Salone del Risparmio, the symbolic event of the Italian asset management industry, organized by Assogestioni.

“We believe it is a quite unique offer in the Italian panoramais a model widely used at an international level, in particular in the Anglo-Saxon world”, he added.

Looking at the market, “we try to be very flexible – said Romagnoli – The fact of being a financial boutique allows us to do this easily, therefore also adapting to market scenarios. We are in this moment convinced that the bond market still has a lot to give to investors, in particular income which today is a very interesting aspect for investors who have perhaps emerged from difficult market moments in 2022. We think that despite the expectation of a rate cut there will still be, especially on short durations, some good returns. However, we don’t draw the stockbecause in any case it remains an asset class that actually measures the real economy in some way and this also helps to be able to track the growth of countries, in particular Western ones but not only because today markets like the Indian one are appearing where we can do well , perhaps with a passive or an ETF”.

On the innovation front, “we were among the first to launch an Artificial Intelligence fund several years ago and our vision on AI has not changed – said the CEO of Symphonia SGR – We believe that it is obviously the last outpost of technology and that as AI we should not only think of the robot but in reality it is a technology investment sector which ranges from software right up to chips, so it affects different categories of companies and different sectors, and so it must be seen from an investment point of view.”

“We believe that obviously the magnificent seven have had a crazy run, but that they still remain the cornerstones of a sector’s development for the moment – he added – Obviously they are a little underweighted on portfolios and we also believe that this is possibly related to the fact that AI will see its cycle complete within the real economy within a certain period of time which cannot be immediate. But it will certainly arrive, so starting from the large groups it is now covering all industries and services, and then it will arrive almost everywhere in a short time”.
