SD top accused of trying to hire torpedoes

HÄSSLEHOLM. A secret recording reveals how SD leader Hanna Nilsson in Hässleholm says that she is in debt to a local entrepreneur – Oddvar Lönnerkrantz – chairman of the Viking Association.

The Viking Association claims that the municipal council tried to hire them as torpedoes.

– It feels very offensive that we are asked that question. People wondered if it was a hidden camera or something, says Lönnerkrantz.

At the same time, the SD politician himself has reported Oddvar Lönnerkrantz to the police for extortion.

A political scandal has erupted in Hässleholm in Scania – around a much-debated Viking village.

In one corner of the ring stands entrepreneur Oddvar Lönnerkrantz, who runs the Viking village of Vittfarnas next to a burial ground on national road 23. He accuses the chairman of the municipal board Hanna Nilsson (SD) of having asked him to threaten a private person.

In the second, Hanna Nilsson herself, who last Friday reported the “Viking” Oddvar for extortion.

– He has made up an absolutely incredible story which is of course not true, she says.

Hanna Nilsson’s report caused the story to break in the media. She claimed that Lönnerkrantz has pressured the municipality to buy his property – something that the newspaper Northern Scania have reported on.

– It was very difficult, I felt threatened, says Hanna Nilsson.

This applies to the Viking village Lönnerkrantz is chairman of, where the association built small houses in the Viking style, stables, forge and cafe. They rent out rooms and conference rooms decorated with armor and other Viking items, organize events with spear throwing and dinners. A Viking ship is moored down by the lake.

Oddvar Lönnerkrantz, who himself has a great interest in the Viking Age, is charged with grave antiquities because he allegedly built the village too close to an ancient remains area. The case will appear in the district court on April 12.

“Tried to help”

But the story actually began much earlier. Hanna Nilsson and Oddvar Lönnerkrantz have been seen several times in the Viking village.

They have had a private relationship since way back. Hanna Nilsson describes that she previously went out as an opposition councilor and was supposed to “mediate” with the Vikings in the conflict with the municipality, but in connection with her becoming chairman of the municipal board after the election last fall, she claims to have backed away from the friendship relationship.

– During the time I have tried to mediate, we have become friends, and I have tried to help from a professional role, she says.

But Oddvar Lönnerkrantz claims that she did more than mediate, but that she should have tried to change jobs instead.

At a meeting, they talked about a certain private person in the municipality. A person who wanted to appeal the municipality’s purchase of a home for the elderly.

But after that, the stories diverge.

Seen at the burial site at the Viking village

Lönnerkrantz claims that the meeting was in November 2021 – Nilsson that it was in May 2022.

According to Oddvar Lönnerkrantz, they were seen on the occasion at the burial site next to the Viking village. There, between the old stones, Hanna Nilsson is said to have asked Oddvar and his friend Nisse to go to the private person’s home and exert pressure, to get the person to withdraw his appeal against the nursing home, which the online newspaper Exposed was the first to report on.

– It was pointed out that there were no rules for it, you solve the problem to the best of your ability. I don’t get involved in how you handle it, says Oddvar Lönnerkrantz.

How do you interpret such a question?

– Yes, we wouldn’t exactly go there and give him flowers.

According to Oddvar Lönnerkrantz, Hanna Nilsson announced that she would afterwards be in debt to them. The municipality has long since had a conflict with the Viking village regarding the land, and according to Oddvar, the idea was that the situation would be resolved in this way.

Secret recording: “The stupid hell”

In January 2023, Hanna Nilsson and Oddvar Lönnerkrantz were seen again in the Viking village, and then the conversation was recorded. On the tape that Aftonbladet took part in, Hanna Nilsson is heard admitting that she is in debt to them.

Oddvar asks if Hanna remembers that she owes them – and she answers “Yes”.

They then continue to discuss the future of the Viking village, and how they should proceed. She is also heard saying that the municipality lied in the Land and Environment Court. She says that a designated official should “be 100 percent scapegoat” for things not working out for Lönnerkrantz and the Viking village.

“I have no problem going out and saying that XX, the stupid hell, he was crazy and sat and did this, so it doesn’t work,” she says on the tape.

Disagree about knives on the table

But Hanna Nilsson now denies that she had any intention of asking Lönnerkrantz to put pressure on anyone.

According to her, there were knives on the table at the recorded meeting. The threatening situation made her just nod and agree, she says. She also says that she felt threatened earlier by him.

– Much of what I say is based on what I think Oddvar wants to hear, it’s a little because I want to get away from that situation. I just want to get out of there.

Oddvar Lönnerkrantz claims that the knives have to do with him crafting and sewing leather while they were talking.

After Hanna Nilsson reported Oddvar Lönnerkrantz for attempted blackmail, she has now also filed a report of defamation. Oddvar Lönnerkrantz has in turn reported Hanna Nilsson to the police for misconduct.
