The Sweden Democrats demand talks with the government about the latest NATO settlement with Turkey and the country’s president Recep Tayyip Erdogan, reports Svenska Dagbladet.
Aron Emilsson, chairman of the Riksdag’s foreign affairs committee, thinks that the wording of the agreement has been vague so far.
– It is too early to determine whether the government has been too accommodating towards Turkey and whether the agreement with Erdogan is reasonable, says Aron Emilsson to SvD.
According to Emilsson, further talks are needed between SD and the government on several issues.
– Among other things, I am thinking about how Sweden should be a voice for a possible future Turkish EU membership. SD’s opinion is already known and we look critically at Turkish EU accession, he says.
