After the political storm in Botkyrka, the Sweden Democrats are now demanding new elections in the municipality, reports P4 Stockholm.

At the same time, the Moderates want to take over power from the Social Democrats, and negotiations are now underway with other parties. If the negotiations are not successful, SD believes that new elections are required.

– The governing composition has changed completely and they are no longer able to make decisions, says group leader Max Möllerström (SD) to the radio.

The other day, about 40 members left the Social Democrats in Botkyrka. The mass dropout has its basis in the turbulence surrounding ABF’s recreational facilities.

At the same time, the cooperation with the Center Party in the municipality’s governing alliance has been interrupted, which was also a reason for the defection.
