Scotsman Gilchrist suspended for remainder of Six Nations Tournament

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Scottish second row Grant Gilchrist, expelled against the France team on the 3rd day of the Six Nations Tournament, has been suspended for the rest of the competition, the organizers of the event announced on Monday March 6. Gilchrist received a three-week suspension, which will therefore see him miss the receptions of Ireland (March 12) and Italy (March 18). The Scottish second line had received a red card at the start of the match during the victory of the Blues at the Stade de France (32-21) on February 26 for having inflicted a shoulder blow in the face of Anthony Jelonch. The third tricolor line then left the field to carry out a concussion protocol before being definitively replaced in the 15th minute, injured in the knee, victim of a rupture of the cruciate ligaments.
