Scotland’s transgender community breathes a heavy sigh of relief. It is finally an ally who becomes Prime Minister. Humza Yousaf has promised he will stand up for LGBTQ+ rights and specifically fight against London’s blocking of a law to facilitate gender change. Expectations tinged with concerns for this already very marginalized minority.
