Scored a hat-trick – on his 30th birthday

Djurgården won the match at home against Vimmerby with 4–1.

The Stockholmers’ best player was the American Tyler Kelleher, who scored two goals in the first period.

The first after a conversion where he came flying and shot through the away keeper Claes Endre and the second on the power play after a pass from Colby Sissons.

“I am an old man…”

In the subsequent break, Kelleher – who came back from a hip injury last time against Östersund – was interviewed on TV4’s broadcast.

– It feels much better today. My legs feel better. I was away for a long time without training and jumped into a match straight away, but it feels better today.

He turns 30 tonight and when he was congratulated he replied with a smile:

– Thanks, I’m an old man these days.

Completed his hat trick

Junior Anton Frondell – who is not playing JVM in Canada but will most likely join next year – extended the lead to 3-1 when he clapped directly on the power play in the second period.

The 17-year-old’s second goal in the hockey Allsvenskan.

And in the third, Tyler Kelleher completed his hat trick as he tallied his ninth of the season.

A goal that fixed the final result at 4–1.

– This is an evening that I will not forget. The supporters sang for me, so it was cool, says the birthday boy Kelleher after the match.
