Mattias Tedenby has mixed and then given his return to HV71 last season.
But on Thursday night, he showed good old fashion and was the best on the ice.
The forward opened the scoring in the second period, but didn’t want to take all the credit in the halftime interview with TV4 when he paid tribute to defender Oscar Engsund, who was behind with an opening pass in the center zone.
– He looks like Bobby Orr out there, Engsund, Tedenby said laughing in the interview.
“Good day at work”
After the break, the 34-year-old doubled his tally following passes from Sean Day and Olle Alsing before completing his hat-trick when he made it 4-2 after a rebound.
The match ended 5–2 to the Jönköping team, who took their first victory after two straight losses.
– A good day at work, it’s impossible to say anything else. It’s nice, says Tedenby.
– Now we go home to Jönköping and load up for Saturday.
Then HV meets Timrå. For Leksand, a meeting with Färjestad awaits.
