Sci-Fi star had to be completely depilated for 300 role and now he’s describing the horrific experience

From Zack Snyder’s 300, the extraordinary images and epic battles are the most memorable. In addition, some stars of the comic blockbuster have delivered memorable performances. This includes Rodrigo Santoro, who starred in the role of the intimidating villain Xerxes. Now the star has again about the painful preparation spoken for the character.

300-Star compares painful hair removal to cult comedy

According to Entertainment Weekly, the 300 star revisited the making of Zack Snyder’s movie as a guest on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show. He remembered that his character’s body was completely bare at the time and therefore free from any hair had to be. It became a painful process for Santoro:

I had to choose the temperature of the wax. I think they are different. But still I’m like, ‘okay, hot.’ And then she just smeared the stuff on my chest, all over, you know, side, and when I wanted to ask her something, she went straight to it. And I will never forget that. It reminded me of this movie, Virgo (40), Male, Seeking…, Steve Carrell, amazing. And I say, ‘No, no, no. stop, stop

the painful tale goes further:

She took a towel. She rolled up the towel and says, ‘Bite’. She wanted me to bite into a towel. Then she did it halfway down my torso. And I said, ‘Enough. It is enough. Many Thanks. I learned it. I’ll use the razor.’ And that was it. So I gave it up because it was the whole body. I’m not a very hairy guy, but I have hair. And it was very painful.

Since the Snyder blockbuster, Rodrigo Santoro has appeared in the sci-fi series Westworld, among others. The broad masses he will but well forever remembered as Xerxes of 300 stay. So the painful hair removal was worth it.
