After Westworld season 4, the future of the sci-fi series is still unclear. However, the two showrunners Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy have already for genre replenishment taken care of. The new series of the two is called The Peripheral and will come to Amazon Prime in October in the streaming subscription with weekly episodes.

The Peripheral trailer promises visually stunning sci-fi hits

In the Westworld duo’s series, Chloe Grace Moretz stars as Flynne Fisher, who struggles to carve out a life of her own alongside her troubled family history. One day, her brother (Jack Reynor) shows her a new device that pulls her out of reality into a strange world. Soon Flynne realizes that she is in the dystopian future has landed and must prevent this grim fate.

The Peripheral was based on the novel by William Gibson. The sci-fi author is considered to be the founder of the cyberpunk subgenre. The Peripheral starts on October 21 on Amazon Prime. An episode of the eight-episode sci-fi series will be released every week.
