Filming for the 5th season of Stranger Things is in full swing. As has been known since mid-2023, a spectacular new addition will be joining the cast. Terminator star Linda Hamilton will take on a previously unknown role in the new episodes of the Netflix hit.

So far, the actress has enjoyed watching Stranger Things just as much as any other fan. But she won’t watch season 5 anymore.

In an interview with Us Weekly about the sci-fi series Resident Alien, Hamilton also spoke about the upcoming Stranger Things season. She said that she can no longer take the world of a film or series seriously if she herself has starred in it:

When you really commit to something, you don’t see yourself in it. I think in some ways it ruined the series for me. I never watch [ein Projekt] once I’m there. It would take me completely out of reality if I saw myself in it. Therefore I will mine [Staffel 5] don’t look at it.

Science fiction fans know Linda Hamilton primarily for her role as Sarah Connor in the first two Terminator films. In 2019 she returned again for Terminator: Dark Fate.

When does Stranger Things season 5 start on Netflix?
