In the late 2000s, DreamWorks was looking for good young adult material Lorien Legaciesseries found what they were looking for and secured the cinema rights. The first part hit the big screen in 2011 with I am Number Four… and then it was over. The sci-fi film adaptation failed right from the start.

The story of I Am Number Four begins with the destruction of the planet Lorien. Only nine children survive the destruction of their homeland and are brought to safety on earth. One of these children is Number Four aka John (Alex Pettyfer), who has spent his entire life on the run from his past.
When he meets Sarah (Dianna Agron) and falls in love with her, he does everything he can to finally Distance from his old life to win. But then more and more pursuers appear, not to mention the intrepid Number Six (Teresa Palmer), who drags him into a new adventure.
