Speaking to CTV News when asked about the dangers of AI development, Cameron explained:
I got you in 1984 [mit Terminator] warned, but you didn’t listen! [Lacht.] I believe the greatest danger is the development of artificial intelligence as a weapon. I think there will be an AI arms race that will only continue to escalate. […] I can [einen Krieg] Imagine that only machines fight it, and humans can no longer finish it.

Whether Cameron’s prognosis is true, every fan has to decide for themselves. In fact, the development of artificial intelligence is making rapid progress. For example, ChatGPT finished writing the Game of Thrones book series. And the result is not bad at all.
Mankind will probably not be wiped out by killer robots with glowing eyes and Austrian accents. But Cameron is right about one thing: Every great invention is eventually tested for military use. Hopefully Arnold Schwarzenegger will be on our side then.
