After the first three Terminator parts with Arnold Schwarzenegger at the center, Terminator: Salvation marked a turning point in the sci-fi series. Arnie didn’t want to go on camera for the 2009 sequel, so he was recreated using CGI for a brief cameo.

The fourth Terminator film shines with Avatar star Sam Worthington and Batman actor Christian Bale in the leading roles. The latter got that time had a nasty tantrum on setwhich was filmed and ended up online.

The sci-fi sequel is set in a dystopian 2018, where the computer program Skynet has turned against humanity and triggered an apocalypse. It’s up to John Connor (Bale), as rebel leader, to secure the future of the last survivors. He meets Marcus Wright (Worthington), who is hiding a dark secret.

The fourth Terminator film was hardly convincing at the box office. The sci-fi blockbuster made a budget of $200 million, according to Box Office Mojo over $371 million worldwide a. Not a totally devastating result, but the part is still considered a flop.

While filming a Terminator 4 scene, cameraman Shane Hurlbut checked the lighting midway through, causing Bale to freak out. What followed was a minute-long outburst of anger during which the star threw swear words around called for the cameraman to be fired.
