In March 2020, the emerging corona pandemic was a topic that affected the whole world. At the beginning of the virus spread and the first lockdown, Netflix released the Spanish sci-fi thriller The Shaft, which became one massive hit became.

The story of the sequel follows the concept of Der Schacht. This time the main character Perempuan (Milena Smit) finds himself in the futuristic prison in which Inmates in pairs on 333 floors of a vertical shaft are distributed. Once a day a platform travels from top to bottom, which is covered with a feast. If you eat a lot at the top, you leave little to no leftover food for those below.
In order to ensure an even, fair distribution of food, Perempuan and her cellmate Zamiatin (Hovik Keuchkerian) want to join the system of so-called law enforcers. This group wants to enforce fair food distribution by force if necessary.
