(Finance) – Italian schools will have shortly 1.7 billion overall for digitize approximately 100 thousand classes and equip the secondary schools with laboratories for practical exercises: the anticipation arrived today, during the technical table of the referents Pnrr of the trade union confederations on the disclosure of the decree of the Minister of Education soon to be issued relating to the allocation of resources between the educational institutions implementing Investment 3.2 “School 4.0” of Mission 4 – Component 1 of the PNRR, financed by the European Union – Next Generation EU. The technicians of the public part reported that the measure will be included in a forthcoming decree signed by the competent minister: but if the schools do not invest the funds by next December they will be commissioned.
“It’s a pity – replies Marcello Pacifico, president of Anief and Udir – that a September the year will resume in precarious conditions: 1,800 DSGAs will be missing, in practice one out of four, a thousand principals, one out of seven, with the aggravating circumstance of the 500 missing principals in the normal-sized offices. Furthermore, there will continue to be no clarity on the recognition of the work, while the Covid staff has not yet been renewed, which remains essential to resume lessons with the pandemic in progress, even before innovating them “. This is why Pacifico has made a proposal to organize a technical meeting “on the conditions in which we are ready to make our contribution; let’s try to understand what the parameters of Europe are, what are the stakes of this expenditure”.
“As if that were not enough – continued the trade union leader – we must also clarify the resources allocated to the teaching and administrative staff of the schools for the realization of the project. The truth is that the commissioner should take action not for schools, but towards the Ministry of Education which incompetently continues to make commitments without revising the staffing. Because – concludes the independent trade unionist – without a sensitive integration of the staff, including teachers, of the common chair and support, as well as the Ata staff, the almost two billion NRPs to be assigned to schools risk being lost ”.
