(Finance) – The Ministry of Education and Merit has provided the breakdown by Region of ordinary competition for 4,000 positions as permanent Catholic religion teacherswhile the oral didactic methodological tests of the extraordinary competition in sectors I and II are taking place in many regions.
The places advertised for the extraordinary competition they are about a third compared to the others 12,000 applications submitted and just over half are related to nursery and primary schools, the others for secondary schools. This is how the stabilization of teachers who have been waiting for over twenty years to enter the role and transform the contract into a permanent one.

“The start of the competition was awaited for a long time and as our practice we remain on the front line, always committed to the stabilization of Catholic Religion Teachers who for too many years have carried out their work as teachers placed as temporary workers”, comments Pacifico, adding “as an autonomous representative union, Anief will continue to support the rights of non-tenured teachers of the Catholic religion, on a par with all other substitute teachers”.
The applications submitted for the ordinary competition are over 6,000 compared to approx 2000 places availableof which just under half are for infants and primary schools and the others for lower and upper secondary schools. Also in this case the applications largely exceed the places advertised, but in the case of the ordinary competition the procedure is aimed at filling the vacant and available places for the three-year school period 2022/2023 – 2024/2025.
The ordinary procedure provides a computer-based written test of 100 minutes and a minimum score of 70/100 is required; there oral testalso passed with a minimum score of 70/100, involves a specific educational test, consisting of a simulated lesson, the evaluation of comprehension and conversation in English at least at level B2 and the dissertation on questions drawn by the candidate, relating to the exam program. In addition to the evaluation of the two tests, oral and written, length of service and qualifications will also be evaluated.
