After a house search of the suspected shooter, who was killed by police during the school shooting, the police believe that the crime was planned carefully and in detail.

— We have some writings that we are going through that relate to this day, the actual event, John Drake told reporters.

— We have a map drawn up of how all this would happen.

When the first police patrols arrived at the Christian private school in Nashville on Monday morning, several shots were heard from the second floor.

The officers went up the stairs and encountered the shooter, a woman who was armed with at least three firearms. There was a shooting and the woman was shot to death, Nashville police said during a press conference after the crime.

Later, the police said that the shooter is identified as transgender.

No motive for the murders is known, but according to the police, the shooter is believed to have previously been a student at the school.

Two of the children killed were nine years old, a third child was eight years old. The three adults who were killed were in their 60s and employees of the school, according to the police.

Around 200 pupils attend the school, which accepts children from pre-school age up to the age of twelve.

— It’s terrible, a family’s worst nightmare, said US President Joe Biden about the murders at the school.

Biden also urged Congress to vote through his ban on a certain type of semi-automatic weapon.

Police are conducting a search warrant in connection with the school shooting in Nashville.
