(Finance) – Un collective agreement of finally decent work, more subscribers and consensus, increase in staff of personnel, record after record of compensation: these are just some of the objectives achieved by the Anief union in 2024 and that the autonomous organization itself aims to improve in 2025, a year that promises to be particularly challenging and full of events. A year that could become one of consecration”, says Marcello Pacifico, national president of Anief.
“Any union, even ours, is made up of people and workers who gravitate around it: the facts tell us that those of Anief are truly special, because otherwise we would not have achieved such important results, in the past but in particular in the last 12 months,” says the President Marcello Pacifico, adding “it is emblematic to have been an active part in the agreement signed at Aran on the 2019-21 collective bargaining agreement, but also to have made many employees, often precarious, recover over 15 million euros through the courts scattered across Italy, a million and 769 thousand euros in total compensation in the month of November alone: these are decisions resulting from over 6 thousand favorable sentences, a sensational result that until a few years ago we never thought would have been possible reach”.
“Thanks to the wise work of our lawyers and the trust that tens of thousands of members and appellants have given us, all this has become a splendid reality: one which – concludes the union leader – we hope to make even more brilliant in the next month in April, when the renewals of the school RSU will take place in all Italian schools with almost a million employees involved”.
Among the successes achieved in 2024 by the union are to be counted the agreement on the national collective agreement of work 2019-21 signed in January, which brought a 4.2% gross salary increase. In February, however, Aran, which represents the public sector in the union bargaining phase, certified the increase in representativeness of Anief for the three-year period 2022-2024, with an official increase of 0.62%: a result that is not exactly to be taken for granted, considering that in the same period other unions recorded significant losses in support. In March 2024, after obtaining the double recruitment channel for the two-year period 2024-2026, even if only for temporary support workers placed in the first GPS band, the union has strengthened the request for review staff recruitment. Important result achieved last April, when the young union obtained the extension of the additional PNRR staff – Southern Agenda until June 2024. Registration in May one of the most important compensations of 2024: a substitute with contracts carried out expiring on 30 June in the previous five-year period obtains from the judge the 3 thousand euros of teacher’s card which the school administration had denied him by ignoring the rulings in favor of temporary workers produced by the Council of State, the European Court of Justice and the Supreme Court of Cassation. In June the doubling of Anief votes (+3%) on the occasion of the elections to the Superior Council of Public Education. In July Marcello Pacifico is confirmed as president by acclamationat the end of the IV Anief National Congress. Also born in August new Anief – Ancodis department to represent and introduce Middle management at school too, after Condir (DSGA), FederAta, Diamante (foreign specialists), Adip (master’s graduates), Cisal Flp. It’s coming in September forwarded toA new complaint in Europe on the abuse of fixed-term contracts and against the precariousness that characterizes School and Research in our country. In the month of October we note the maxi compensation – from 4 to 24 months – for appeals on abuse of fixed-term contracts. In November, an expected ruling from the Constitutional Court rejects differentiated autonomy upon complaint from the Anief regions. The record for compensation in the courts is reached in December.
