The school nurse has previously been reported as a patient danger to Ivo.
This after discovering 256 flaws in her work, which were passed on to the students.
Now the school has made a lex Maria report after a student was sentenced to life.
A school in Sörmland has drawn up a lex Maria report to the Inspectorate for Care and Care, Ivo, after a school nurse failed to follow up on a student who was examined for scoliosis, writes news agency Siren.
The student had been on a health visit with the school nurse to have a back check. The result showed that the student could develop scoliosis and, according to routine, a new follow-up check must be done within a maximum of one year. But no surveillance was put into the system and the check was never done.
Only two years later, at the next back check, it was discovered that the back had gotten even worse. The patient received a diagnosis of scoliosis and a life sentence.
A total of 256 misses
Earlier this year, the school nurse was reported to Ivo as a patient hazard after the school found 256 errors in her work.
During the review, it was discovered that several health visits, checks, vaccinations and follow-ups were never carried out. Several students in years five and six had never had a vision or hearing test.
When examining the school nurse’s office, there were no basic or emergency medicines. The medicines found were expired and the students’ medical records in many cases lacked important health information.
