(Tiper Stock Exchange) – The Ministry of Education and Merit and the school management unions unanimously signed today the definitive text of the Supplementary National Collective Agreement (CCNI). The agreement – explains the note – identifies the levels of complexity, the criteria for allocating and using the resources that make up the Single National Fund (FUN), between the portion intended for remuneration for the position and the portion intended for remuneration for results, for the 2023/2024 school year.
“The signing of the Supplementary National Collective Agreement confirms the MIM’s effort to guarantee school managers the right recognition of their role in the school system, also providing for an increase in salary levels in consideration of the commitment necessary to cope with the multiplicity of activities and responsibilities to which the category is called”, declared Minister Giuseppe Valditara.
After the certification of the contract hypothesis by the supervisory bodies, the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Department of Public Function, we thus arrive at the definitive regulation of a system which, until now, was marked by unjustified inconsistencies salaries among school principals. The CCNI forecasts a generalized and stable improvement in wages thanks to the increase in the position of the variable part, linked to the complexity of the educational institutions, and guarantees, at the same time, that no school manager suffers salary decreases compared to the current situation.
The Ministry, on the precise indication of Minister Valditara, has acted, within a precious and effective institutional collaboration with the MEF, to ensure that next September 1st (start date of the new school year) can become a turning point for the Italian principals.
In fact, as of September 2023, for the first time since the introduction of school autonomy, the category will regularly receive the new slips corresponding to the reference year, with certainty of the amounts and prior knowledge of the level of complexity of the institution in which they work. The amounts of the variable positions will be updated with the significant increases envisaged by the new National Contract.
In particular, the central and peripheral administration offices have worked to define the adoption of a directorial decree for each regional territory and the sending of these Decrees for the visa to the territorial accounting offices by 31 July, so that the slips can be updated in good time.
