School in Sjöbo is closed after explosions and threats

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

A union survey among the staff at Färsingaskolan showed last week major and acute health risks linked to staffing problems, reports Ystad’s Allehanda.

Helene Olofsson, who represents the Swedish teachers’ union, believes that the situation is urgent since homemade bombs were fired at the school.

“The school cannot guarantee the students’ safety, and therefore we had to pull the emergency brake,” she tells the newspaper.

The school is closed Thursday–Friday. After that, there is a sports holiday and then it is kept closed for another day, reports Skånska Dagbladet. If the principal has not taken measures to secure the work environment, the protective stop can be extended, according to the newspaper.
