Following a supervision of the School Inspectorate, it was discovered that students who read the Natural Bill program with a focus on animal care have not received adequate workplace placement learning, APL. The same applies to a student who reads the construction and civil engineering program with a focus on house construction. In both cases, the students ‘APL has consisted in traditional store work and tasks that do not follow the courses in the students’ program training.
For example, a teacher has told the School Inspectorate that they had previously held dog courses where the students never got to see a dog.
Must ensure internships
Now the school must ensure that there are workplace -based learning places, APL, where the central content of the courses can be implemented, both for students who read the Natural Program and the Natural Program.
Measures must be reported
The school’s principal must, after consultation with the workplaces, also decide which courses to be placed in the workplaces. The measures must be reported to the School Inspectorate by September 12, otherwise the school’s principal risks a fine of SEK 8.5 million.
