The bomb threat was made by an anonymous user on the school’s Facebook page, and was supposed to happen sometime during Tuesday morning.
“We will conduct distance education so that the students get their education,” says the municipality’s director of education Charlotte Sundqvist to the radio channel.
“You have to be sure that there is no danger in order to dare to keep the school open, and we don’t know that at the moment,” she says.
On Monday afternoon, the police set up cordons around a high school in Gävle after a bomb threat was made on social media. The cordons were lifted during the evening since the police did not find any suspicious objects at the scene.
