(Finance) – The Anief launches an appeal for stop school sizing that puts the implementation of the PNRR is at risk. “There are schools that have had PNRR projects financed for three years, but which according to the mergers envisaged by the sizing now envisaged, will lose their autonomy halfway through: therefore other institutes will manage those funds. Don’t you think it’s a paradox? Don’t you think that all this could create repercussions?”, he denounces Marcello Pacificonational president Aniefduring the meeting held between the trade union organizations and the managers of the Ministry of Education and Merit at the Viale Trastevere docastery.
During the meeting the sizing situation was taken stock of school in light of the innovations included in the decree A thousand extensions which temporarily reduces by over 150 schools the number of mergers but confirms the other hundreds foreseen by the 2023 budget law.
The Anief leader recalled that “the PNRR planned to overcome the numerical concept of autonomous schools determined on the basis of the number of students enrolled and the number of classes. Instead, we ended up with the Law 197/2022 which worsens the criteria of Law 111 of 2011, even going from a minimum of 600 to 900 students enrolled”.
“Me though I don’t want to resign myself to the idea of suffering these constraints, because there was also a ruling from the Council that says the opposite. It would be good to review this with the European Commission, in the future during the redefinition of the objectives”, continues Pacifico, explaining “with the Milleproroghe decree we have introduced in article 51 a paragraph that tells us that for this year we can save 2.5% of the offices: it’s about over 180 locationsbut we still need to save money from the regencies.”
The trade unionist then announced that the‘Anief will try to push for other changes to the Milleproroghe, to try to save as many managers as possible.
Pacifico then recalled that “more than a few school collaborators did not want their contract linked to the Pnrr to be extended: it would be good if it were confirmed instead. As we believe that thousands of technical and administrative assistants also have their contract”, because “they are there several million euros financed for this purposeat least until next April 15th.”
