A new, never-before-seen show connecting developers with their community, the Developer Direct from Xbox and Bethesda will begin in a few hours. We explain everything about its content.

[Mis à jour le 24 janvier 2023 à 14h17] Xbox and Bethesda, an association of video game behemoths whose track record would make the biggest players in the market blush, are meeting us this Wednesday, January 25 for a completely new conference. The Developer Direct, a new show centered around some of the most anticipated video game releases of the coming months, welcomes us for several hours of show, and will be the opportunity for many fans to hear about Redfall and Forza Motorsports, disappeared from the news surface for over a year, or from The Elder Scrolls Online and Minecraft Legends. Unfortunately, Starfield will not be on the menu for this broadcast. We will explain everything to you.

Xbox and Bethesda invite you to discover their Developer Direct on Wednesdays next January 25 at 9 p.m., a new show that aims to strengthen ties between the development studios under the aegis of the two video game giants, and their different communities. This new date is likely to be key for the Xbox juggernaut, in the spotlight since the revelation of the major difficulties encountered by 343 Industries and their product Halo Infinite, and the numerous layoffs that followed in the studio and other appendages of Xbox. The green giant will have to be reassuring in front of its players, who are still waiting for titles promised several months ago like Redfall or Darktide.

You can watch the show live on the following sites:

As you will have understood by reading the few lines above, the Developer Direct from Bethesda and Xbox already has some stars announced. We note in particular two ghosts of 2022, which we have not heard of for almost a year, in the form of Redfall and Forza Motorsports, one developed by Arkane Austin, American branch of the respected French studio Arkane Studios (Deathloop, Dishonored, Prey …) and the other by Turn 10 Studios which will present us with the first gameplay images of its racing game. Minecraft will also be on the menu with news of the future PvP multiplayer Minecraft Legends, while the MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online will tell us a bit about its future expansions and the future of Tamriel.

In order not to unnecessarily stir up the excitement of fans, Xbox and Bethesda have already mentioned that Starfield will not be present during the Developer Direct scheduled for January 25th. The game will benefit in a few weeks from its own show, a show that lives up to the ambition of this highly anticipated title. Bethesda would also be already preparing for this event that is expected to be grandiose.
