Finally, it’s time for the WC in handball!
This year’s world championships are decided in Denmark, Norway and Croatia.

Sweden’s men’s national handball team is looking for revenge when the 2025 Handball World Cup is decided in Denmark, Norway and Croatia during January and early February. In the most recent championship in the 2024 Summer Olympics, the Swedish men were already eliminated in the quarter-finals.
Now we give you all the information about the WC in handball that you need to follow the drama in January and February.
When is the Handball World Cup?
Handball WC 2025 takes place between 14 January and 2 February. The group stage is decided January 14-20, then the main round awaits January 21-26 and the playoffs begin January 28 with the WC final February 2.

Where is the handball world cup shown?
All matches are broadcast on TV6 and TV10 in the TV box and Viaplay online. Sweden’s matches are always shown on TV6 and Viaplay.

This is how it went in 2023:
Handball World Cup 2023 took place in Sweden and Poland. But the Swedish men unfortunately lost the bronze match in Stockholm against Spain with 36-39 and finished fourth. In the final, Denmark managed to defeat France 34-29 and salvaged their third straight World Cup gold on the men’s side.
