A light attack aircraft of the Polish Air Force, M-346, crashed into the runway at Lotnisko Gdynia – Kosakowo Airport during a rehearsal flight. Pilot Robert Jel died in the plane, which burst into flames. The cause of the crash is not yet known, and the Polish army has suspended all M-346 aircraft from flying.
In a statement made by the Polish Armed Forces, it was confirmed that the M-346 light attack aircraft that was to perform at the 30th anniversary of the Naval Aviation Brigade to be held tomorrow crashed and announced that tomorrow’s ceremonies were cancelled.
In the condolence message published by the Polish Armed Forces, it was stated that Robert Jel, who lost his life in the accident, was one of the most experienced pilots.
