Sweden is ready for the quarter-finals of the Hockey World Cup.
So far, there have been five straight victories for Tre Kronor.
But now the figures are revealed which show that they are actually worse than both France and Kazakhstan.
Tre Kronor has really stormed forward in a rather easy group during the hockey World Cup. This weekend saw the fifth straight victory when they defeated Latvia with a clear 7-2.
Tre Kronor’s success
Today, you can go for the sixth straight victory when France will be defeated quite easily for this blue and yellow team. Sweden is already ready for the quarter-finals of the Hockey World Cup, but with another victory, they also secure the group victory and have to face a significantly easier opposition directly in the play-offs.

But despite the fact that Tre Kronor has taken the full pot in the form of a maximum of 15 points in five games so far, numbers are now being revealed that worry ahead of tight and tough playoff games. The Swedish team is one of the tournament’s worst when it comes to power play.
Worrying numbers
Star-studded Sweden’s result so far is only three measly goals in 19 power plays, which gives an efficiency of just under 16 percent and that is highly remarkable considering the teams they have played against. With those numbers, Tre Kronor ends up in ninth place among all WC teams when it comes to distribution in numerical superiority.

They are thus worse than teams like Denmark, Austria, France and Kazakhstan. And yet the USA has been the only good team that Tre Kronor has faced so far.
