As has now been announced, Lucy will be spin-off series continued. Scarlett Johansson may not be returning.

Series offshoot of sci-fi hit Lucy comes with Morgan Freeman
As Variety reports, EuropaCorp and Village Roadshow are co-developing a Lucy spin-off series starring Morgan Freeman. He played a professor in Luc Besson’s sci-fi film, the main character like a kind of mentor stood to the side.
The story of the Lucy series are otherwise no details known yet. Whether Johansson might return for a guest appearance or a smaller role is questionable.
The Scarlett Johansson’s next film appearance will see fans in the new Wes Anderson film Asteroid City. The strip with the usual star power (including Tom Hanks, Tilda Swinton, Margot Robbie and Bryan Cranston) is scheduled to hit cinemas in 2023. It is not yet clear when the Lucy spin-off series will appear.
