Scania’s largest mill – 200 years old – grinds here: “Very unique”

Skåne’s largest wind-powered mill is located between Malmö and Arlöv, and many have surely seen it driving past on the Autostradan. With its 27 meters, it stands majestically on the side of the highway, surrounded by green fields.

– This particular mill is 180 years old and still in operable condition. We at Burlövs Mölleförening think it’s fun to show it off to visitors, says Evert Lindén.

“It is very unique”

Hundreds of visitors made their way to Kronetorp’s mill on Sunday and took part in the various activities that were taking place. The program is set up with the help of various associations that operate in Burlöv municipality, everything from awarding prizes to various scholarship recipients to the sale of waffles.

– It is important that people get the chance to see the cultural heritage that is the moth, but also the good work of the various associations that they do in the municipality, says Christel Molin, temporary event producer in Burlöv municipality.

How proud are you of the moth in Burlöv municipality?

– You are very proud, I would say. It is very unique.
