Scania after Northvolt’s bankruptcy: “Has secured future deliveries”

Northvolt’s liquid awake draws to a great deal of attention. At the same time, Södertalje -based Scania is out with billions in loans to Northvolt and an ongoing business in Poland, which SVT reported on earlier.

– During this period we have really done what we can, says Erik Bratthall, press manager at Scania.

Continued focus on green

The green transition is still important for Scania, Bratthall says.

– Scania’s production of electric trucks continues. We have a flow and we have also secured future deliveries, he says.

When asked if they will reach their goals for 2025 when it comes to electrification, Bratthall answers:

– We have made major investments here in Södertälje. But in order for us to be able to deliver on our goals, the entire community must change. It can be charging infrastructure, the price of electricity versus diesel. Our customers must be able to count their investment. he says.

The company’s investment in the green transition has been on the map before, especially in collaboration with Northvolt.
