Rasmus Paludan, the leader of the Danish far-right Tight Direction (Stram Kurs), came to a public area in the area where Muslims live, accompanied by the police before the scandalous incident.

Paludan, who left the Qur’an in his hand on the ground, burned the Qur’an, which he ignited with a lighter, ignoring the reactions.
The group of about 200 people gathered in the square, reacted to Paludan.

The group called on the police not to allow the provocation of the racist leader.
After the police refused the calls, incidents broke out in the area. While the group closed the road to traffic, they attacked the police with stones.

Mikail Yüksel, Chairman of the Party of Different Colors, said that the racist anti-Islamic enemy Paludan continued his provocations of burning the Holy Quran in different cities of Sweden under intense police protection.
Yüksel stated that Paludan is allowed to choose especially the neighborhoods where Muslims live and near mosques, and expressed the following views:
“In Sweden, which defends human rights, freedom of religion and conscience with the highest pitch, the Qur’an is burned in the places of Muslims under the protection of the police. The police are calling on Muslims to watch the burning of their holy books in front of their eyes with common sense. I don’t understand how this is a delusion.” (AA)
