Saws Björklöven in the loss: “Zero – nada”

Karlskoga led 3-0 against a listless Björklöven when Umeå team captain Axel Ottoson went to be interviewed before the second period break.

– It’s so damn bad, I’m quite annoyed, we play too little with the puck and are scared out there and don’t take it. I am not satisfied, we have to step up on all fronts, he said.

Expert Fredrik Söderström filled in:

– They have bought into the myth of themselves as this skilled team that will elegantly solve most things, and this league doesn’t really work that way. You have to bring the work effort, the physical game, and finish situations and there they have expressed zero – nada – during the first 40 minutes.

Takes over the series lead

The team got a reduction in the third period but ultimately fell 1–4.

Löven’s third loss this year.

For Karlskoga, the three points meant the team’s sixth straight victory and now they lead the hockey Allsvenskan table after flying a bit under the radar at the start of the season.

– We’re playing so damn stable right now, it’s so nice, says Karlskoga goalkeeper Samuel Jonsson.

The Värmlanders meet Nybro on Sunday.

Björklöven have Tingsryd at home on Monday.
