(Finance) – The Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Sandra Savino, hmet this afternoon with the President of the National Council of the Order of Labor Consultants, Rosario De Luca. During the long and cordial conversation, the Undersecretary and the President of the Labor Consultants had the opportunity to analyze some aspects of the anti-money laundering legislation, and in particular the obligations relating to employment.
“The action carried out by the Ministry – clarified the Undersecretary with delegation – it is focused on the need to simplify a system that is excessively burdensome, both in terms of sanctions and obligations, for professionals. From here arises the need for dialogue and discussion initiated with the world of professions, first individually and then collectively”.
“I am very happy – added the Undersecretary – that the clear desire to cooperate to find possible resolutions and strategies that can ease the burdens for professionals and companies, while maintaining the effectiveness of the actions to prevent and combat money laundering”.
President De Luca thanked “Undersecretary Savino for this preparatory meeting for the opening of the table on anti-money laundering. I really appreciated the sensitivity demonstrated on the topic, also by virtue of his professional background and I found great competence and sharing on the topics covered. The occasion was useful to highlight the critical issues existing in the current sanctioning framework and in the management of the so-called. PEP, politically exposed persons, as well as inconsistencies regarding the management of anti-money laundering obligations in employment relationships”.
