A special speedometer registers how many road users adhere to the temporarily reduced maximum speed. The ‘savings pole’ was installed on Friday and will remain in place until February 16. The municipality of Eemnes wants to reward motorists for good driving behavior. The destination of the piggy bank was chosen by residents of Eemnes and Laren themselves. A similar campaign further away in Eemnes previously raised 942.70 euros for Pax Kinderhulp.
