After ruining his third final match due to purely technical errors, Skuru was pressured to win at home to take the battle for the gold to a fifth and decisive match.
The strategy was a lower defensive game, and that put the guests at the beginning.
Sävehof’s edge play, which worked so well, left a lot to be desired. Josephine Nordstrøm in Skurumålet nailed it again in the first half, it took until the 20th minute of the match before Anne Petersen Tolstrup set the first edge goal for the guests.

Early Skuru line
Skuru played for a three-goal lead in the middle of the second half, but two Skuru expulsions close to each other and important saves from Sofie Börjesson gave Sävehof the opportunity to catch up.
At half time, the score was exactly 11-11.

The final numbers were written to 30-22 and Sävehof is by far the champion in Swedish women’s handball with 15 Swedish Championship golds.
For superstar Jamina Roberts, the match in Eriksdalshallen was her last in the Sävehof shirt this time. Next season, she will play in Vipers Kristiansand, and will then bring the sports director, also her partner, Emil Berggren to Norway.
