– Children have been deprived of their basic rights, such as access to education, health care and security, due to the civil war as well as natural disasters and the economic crisis, says Muhrez.

Also, an offensive by the HTS rebel group that began in November, which led Bashar al-Assad to the fall of the regime, forced 700,000 people to leave their homes, according to the UN.

– Some schools were again used for temporary accommodation due to the new wave of refugees, says Muhrez.
