Save the Children alerts Bris after seeing the murder film

“Can arouse a lot of different emotions” • The police’s call: It is very serious

The rapper Gaboro was shot to death in a parking garage in Norrköping, according to information from TV4 Nyheterna.
After the murder, a film has been circulated that allegedly shows the execution – something several children have seen on social media and alerted Bris.

– It can arouse a lot of different emotions. The important thing is that there are adults who can meet and intercept the children who are affected in different ways, says curator Ellen Hedlund.

A 25-year-old man was shot to death in a parking garage in Norrköping on Thursday evening. According to information to TV4 Nyheterna, it is the rapper Gaboro who has been murdered.

After the murder, a video has been circulated purporting to show the execution in which Gaboro is shot multiple times. According to TV4 Nyheterna’s information, the police believe that the clip is from the incident in question.

Many children and young people have seen the clip on social media. According to Bris, several frightened children have called and have questions.

– I know that there are children who have contacted me. It is different depending on which child we are talking to. Many have general thoughts about… They want to talk about what they have seen and experienced. They want to talk about what feelings, thoughts and questions it brought up. Some say that they don’t dare to tell an adult close to them because they are afraid that they will get angry or that there will be consequences such as not being allowed to keep the mobile phone, says curator Ellen Hedlund.

You can do that

Ellen Hedlund believes that there are many children who take part in clips that are spread via social media.

– It can arouse a lot of different emotions. The important thing is that there are adults who can meet and catch the children who are affected in different ways, she says.

What can you do as an adult?

– It is important to start from the child you have in your vicinity. Find out what my child has seen and shared. Start by exploring it and starting from it in the conversation so as not to add to any worries that you yourself carry or arouse a concern in children who have not heard everything.

Adults can get in touch

She urges adults to contact their adult hotline where they can get tips on how to handle such a situation.

– All children are different and affect in different ways. For some, it may be important to receive factual information from adults. For others, it’s the opposite, that you need help and support to take a break from social platforms and just be with a safe adult and not take in more information about the incident, says Ellen Hedlund.

Police appeal: Do not spread the film

Johan Qvarfordt, deputy local police area chief, does not want to confirm whether the alleged murder film has anything to do with the incident or not. But he insists that you can be guilty of a crime if you spread films like this.

– We have been told that there are many children and young people who have been able to take part in it. We want guardians to pay attention to how their children are doing, if they have seen the film. And make sure the film is not spread further. It is very serious and we wish that children do not take part in it, of course, he says.
